December 2020 – NEPTEK successfully commission a fully automated conveyor system for our client Sparepro who is a leading online automotive parts retailer in South Africa.
The system we supplied is installed at their new distribution facility in Gosforth Park, Johannesburg.
Integrating the latest conveyor technology manufactured by CONVEYOR UNITS out of the United Kingdom this system is able to process up to 2500 orders per hour efficiently and reliably.
The system is controlled using a Siemens S7 1500 PLC with remote panels via Profinet. Interfacing to the client’s WMS is done through a Beijer SCADA industrial PC that is developed and supported locally.

What makes the system so unique is its simplicity and robustness which is ideal for the South African market. Included in the deal to our client was a two year maintenance contract, including critical spare parts, showing how confident we are in the reliability of our system.
