Dücker Expands into African Market

Dücker is a global leader for materials handling and conveyor systems in the corrugated board industry.

Neptek signed an agency and distribution agreement with Dücker for their Conveyor Systems, Pre-Feeder, Robotics and Corrpal divisions. The agreement means that Dücker’s complete portfolio of materials handling solutions will be made available to corrugated box plants for the entire continent of Africa.

Peter Dücker the Managing Director of Dücker Group explained “We are convinced that Africa will become an important market in the coming years, and we are looking to establish a strong base in the territory.” “In our view, South Africa is a logical place to start, as the market is well developed for our products, and it will act as a good base to expand northwards, and cover the Sub-Saharan countries from that location.”

“In order to fulfil the strategic direction for the Dücker Group, we are looking forward to building a strong partnership with them,” says Richard Nepgen, Managing Director, Neptek. “From our offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, we are looking forward to helping Dücker increase their market share and the opportunity for sales throughout Africa. We have a big after sales service department at our Johannesburg offices too and this is significant, because a lot of Dücker’s existing customers are located near Johannesburg. With this new agreement, we will help Dücker to develop a local solution for supporting customers by providing strong after sales service, support and of course training.”

“Neptek is as the ideal partner, as they are a well-known and recognised integrator of solutions for intralogistics systems for various industries and logistics centres,” adds Dominique Ravot, CEO, Dücker International. “They have the ability to manage complete projects, combining local design and manufacturing with imported solutions. We are looking forward to growing our businesses together in the African market.”
