MATERIALS HANDLING SYSTEM
Facing many challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic NEPTEK was able to get the project at DHL EXPRESS in Abuja, Nigeria over the line.
NEPTEK supplied a complete materials handling system for the new DHL EXPRESS facility in Abuja that included the following conveyor equipment:
- Reversible Powered Roller Conveyor for the inbound and outbound processes
- Gravity Roller Conveyors
- Motorised Belt Plough to divert parcels off the line
This equipment was controlled by a Siemens S7-1200 PLC and basic Siemens HMI for the operator to control.
Along with the conveyor system NEPTEK also supplied Mobile Equipment and Storage Equipment that included:

A nice feature is that NEPTEK can remotely support the system through a VPN connection.
