Neptek is a preferred supplier of end of line packing solutions to Illovo Sugar for their plants throughout Africa. Illovo Sugar Africa is wholly owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF).
Since 2007 Neptek have been undertaking projects for Illovo Sugar mainly at their largest mill in Africa which is Zambia Sugar plc.
Our latest project for Illovo Sugar Malawi is a complete sugar packing line for polywoven and paper bags from 10kg to 50kg bag sizes. The sugar packing line comprises of the following equipment integrated to form a complete turnkey solution:
- UAS nett weighing scale.
- Premier Tech IQ weighing controller.
- Bag filling spout and clamp.
- Newlong Crepe stitching machine.
- Bizerba check weigher and metal detector.
- Full bag belt conveyors and auto reject system.
- PLC line control.
Illovo Sugar are currently on a drive to upgrade the packing plants at their mills in Africa to meet the required international food standards. Neptek is honoured and proud to be a part of this change.
