April 2016 – NEPTEK supply ZAMBIA SUGAR PLC with bag filling and bag conveyor system for their new sugar refinery plant in Mazabuka, Zambia. NEPTEK was awarded the project by BOSCH PROJECTS who designed and managed the new refinery project on behalf of the client. NEPTEK supplied two E55 two nett weighers and two semi-automatic bagging machines from PREMIER TECH CHRONOS with two FISCHBEIN sewing machines to seal the bags afterwards. Once the bags are filled they are conveyed on two sewing belt conveyors through two pneumatic pusher units, that transfer the full bag onto the takeaway belt conveyor below. The filled bags are then conveyed up overhead from the new refinery into an existing adjacent warehouse for palletising.
The conveyor system consists of belt on roller bed conveyors, incline/decline belt conveyors, PORTEC powered belt curves and gravity roller chute on the end. NEPTEK is very proud to have been part of this exciting project which was very important for ASSOCIATED BRITISH FOODS PLC which are the main shareholders and needed to realise a return on their investment in the region.
